A new exit, limited to northbound traffic only, providing a better link to the Manchester to Sheffield road. This road is better for getting to Manchester than the old A57, but not as good as the M62. Unbelievably the road between these two cities is still a narrow single carriageway, and includes the notorious Stocksbridge Bypass.
