You'll see the sprawling glass roof of Meadowhall on the left as we approach this junction - it was the UK's first major out of town shopping mall and it still pulls in huge amounts of traffic today. We're about to cross the Tinsley Viaduct, a long steel structure carrying us above the River Don and various industrial sites.
