This is junction 10A, which we can't access northbound. It was added in the 1990s and is one of the only additions ever made to the M23. The whole motorway opened in one go on 19 December 1974, with the Gatwick spur following four months later. Aside from this junction and the Smart Motorway upgrade, that's more or less its entire history.
