This junction got a major upgrade in 2025 with the opening of a new looped sliproad to carry you from the anticlockwise M25 to the Chelmsford-bound A12 without touching the roundabout at all. The new loop is enormous because it has to circumnavigate a farm that sits in the corner of the junction.
