A gantry structure spanning the motorway with electronic signals, blue signs showing an exit and the following text.
Exit destinations: A217 Reigate, Sutton; Kingston (A240) .
Forward destinations: Leatherhead (A243); Heathrow [Airport symbol] (M4), Watford (M1) M25 .
Junction number: 8.
The sliproad for junction 8 splits off at the bottom of Reigate Hill, and runs parallel to the M25 for almost a mile until it reaches the junction at the top. Before it was rebuilt like that there were serious problems with traffic trying to get across to the exit and being blocked by lines of trucks in the left-hand lanes struggling slowly up the hill.
