A gantry structure spanning the motorway with electronic signals, blue signs showing an exit and the following text.
Exit destinations: A452 Birmingham (E); Sutton Coldfield .
Forward destinations: The NORTH WEST [Solid triangle diversion symbol]; Birmingham (C, N & W) M6 .
Junction number: 5.
Junction 5 has east-facing slip roads only, so it can't be used by commuters travelling between the suburbs and the centre of Birmingham. This was a good idea, but doesn't stop the M6 being heavily used by commuters from elsewhere, and it's extremely busy in the rush hour.
