We are about to cross the Thames again, except this time it will not be so dramatic as the Dartford Bridge. The A30 crosses the river with us. Both northbound carraigeways are on a 1961 Lutyens bridge built for the A30 Staines Bypass, whilst the southbound carraigeways are on a new bridge built to complement the existing bridge. The next section to J14 opened in August 1982 at a cost of £22.9m
