Britain's most famous service area, and its first. It was recently rebuilt by the nice folks at Road Chef, who took it over from the ailing company Blue Boar who set it up in 1960. It's named for the tiny village of Watford Gap (on the B5385) rather than the Hertfordshire town of Watford.
