Toddington Services come hot on the heels of junction 12. At one time they were so close together their sliproads almost met, which made for lots of dangerous lane-changing here; junction 12 was eventually rebuilt slightly to the north to overcome the problem. Sometimes small design choices can only be fixed by huge projects.
