The demand for travel to Weston was expected to be so large that the exit sliproad here is laid out for a future overpass to be added, direct from the M5 into the town. But it was never built, so your bucket and spade will need to stay safely packed in the boot until you’ve negotiated the roundabout and traffic lights.
